Deactivate Windows functions - Here's how
In this practical tip we will show you how to deactivate the Windows functions.
Deactivate Windows functions
- Click on "Start" or the Windows symbol in the lower left of the task bar and enter "Activate or deactivate Windows functions" in the search field. Click on the relevant entry as soon as it appears.
- Alternatively, open the "Control Panel" and then click "Uninstall Programs" under "Programs". Here you will find the entry "Activate or deactivate Windows functions" on the left. Click on it.
- Now you can see the various Windows functions in a dropdown menu, which you can either activate or deactivate. A check mark in front of an entry indicates that the respective function is activated.
- If you want to deactivate a function, remove the check mark and click on "OK". To activate a function, all you have to do is tick the entry and confirm with "OK".
