Windows 10: Set rest periods - how it works
If you do not want to be constantly disturbed by the notifications under Windows 10, you can set rest periods - more precisely: activate the rest period.
Activate rest periods in Windows 10
The idle time is not about turning off the computer, but about disabling Windows notifications. Updates, mails, appointments and messages from other programs are collected in the info center and always reported with sound. You can draw a line here:
- First click on the notification icon in the lower right corner of the taskbar, so that the Info Center opens.
- If you click on the "Rest periods" button below, the symbol in the taskbar is supplemented by a minus sign.
- From now on, all notifications will end up quietly in the information center. If there is a new message, the icon in the taskbar turns white.
- Note: Even if the name "rest times" suggests some options for adjustment, the option can only be switched on and off manually.
Tip: This is how your PC shuts down after a certain time
