Merge several CSV files - how it works
You can quickly merge multiple CSV files using the command prompt. We show you how this works in this guide.
Merge CSV files at a command prompt
With the command prompt and a simple command, you can merge any number of CSV files.
- Save the CSV files you want to merge in a shared folder.
- Open the command prompt by typing "cmd" in the Windows search and selecting the entry.
- Enter "cd C: \ path \ to \ your \ folder \ with \ the \ CSV \ files". Insert the path to your folder here. Confirm the entry with Enter.
- Now write "copy file1.csv + file2.csv + file3.csv newfile.csv". Replace the "FileX.csv" entries with the real file names in your folder. At the end there is the name of the file in which the merged data should be. Execute this line again with Enter.
