Mac: Assign administrator rights - how it works
On Mac OS X, you can easily assign administrator rights to other users. We show you how to do this.
Assign user administrator privileges on Mac
- Open System Preferences on your Mac.
- Select the category "Users & Groups".
- Then select the user from the list on the left who should have administrator rights.
- Then check the box next to "The user can manage this computer". You will need to restart your Mac for the change to take effect.
If you have forgotten your password as an administrator, we will help you in the next article.
