Google Maps: Show parking spaces - how it works

You can now also display parking spaces in the navigation via Google Maps. This makes the - sometimes nerve-wracking - search for a parking space in foreign places a lot more pleasant. In this practical tip, we explain how to use the function.

Use parking space search in Google Maps

1. Open Google Maps in your browser or the Google Maps app on your smartphone.
2. For example, at the top of the search field, enter "Munich Parking Lot" and confirm your entry. Customize the command to where you are.
3. The available parking spaces are then shown on the map and on the left.
4. You can now navigate to these and park your vehicle there.
