So that your Dropbox is not unexpectedly full, you can view the used and free storage space at any time. This works on the PC as well as in the browser and on the cell phone.
Dropbox: Show free space in the browser
The Dropbox website graphically shows your free and used storage space in the cloud. To call up the ad, open one of the following links in your browser (depending on the Dropbox model) and log in with your account data.
- Private Dropbox: Show storage space usage
- Dropbox Business: Show storage space usage
PC and cell phone: display memory usage
If you use the Dropbox client for PC or the free Dropbox app on your smartphone, you can also use this to access the memory distribution. However, the programs only show the memory usage in percent. The graphic overview is only available on the website.
- PC : Left-click on the Dropbox icon in the task bar and then on the gear icon at the top right. In the dropdown menu you can see at the top what percentage of the memory is used. So you can calculate the free and allocated storage space yourself.
- Mobile phone : In the Dropbox app, tap the menu icon with the three horizontal bars at the top left. You will then see your percentage of memory used on the left.
