The time until the mailbox comes on can be set relatively easily both on Android and on other smartphones. The simplest way is via the so-called "tax codes". We'll show you exactly how this works here.
Set the duration up to the mailbox using the control code
You don't need your own app for the codes. You can easily enter it as a number using the keyboard of the phone app:
- First you can check the current status of your mailbox with the code [* # 61 #].
- To change the time you now need the following code: [** 61 * (your phone number) ** (time in seconds) #].
- Assuming you have the telephone number "+49123456789" and want to set the duration for the mailbox to 25 seconds, the code is entered as follows: [** 61 * + 49123456789 ** 25 #].
- To switch the mailbox off completely, select the control code [## 61 #].
- All codes are entered without the square brackets. The characters "*" and "#" can be found at the bottom left and right of the (virtual) keyboard.
